What does netiquette mean?                                           

Rules about the proper and polite way to communicate with other people when you are using the Internet


Why is Netiquette Important?

Netiquette is important because it helps create a respectful, safe, and effective online environment. 

Rules to follow for good online behavior:

1. Be kind.

2. Think before you post.

3. Use social media for good and truth.

4. Protect personal privacy.

Examples of good vs. bad online behavior:


Using good online behavior—often called digital environment, stronger relationships, and a reputable digital footprint. Acting with kindness, respect, and responsibility helps protect your personal information and enhances how others  perceive you professionally and personally.    

Cyberbullying is harmful because it causes severe, lasting mental, emotional, and physical distress by creating a 24/7 environment of harassment that is inescapable, public, and often anonymous. It leads to increased risks of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, and in extreme cases, suicidal ideation.

 Cyberbullying What is Cyberbullying? Cyberbullying is the practice of insulting and hurting someone through digital devices. Cyberbullying usually occurs in: Social medias platforms like Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, etc. Text messages and messaging apps Online chatting over the internet. Emails. Online gaming communites.
